Without a doubt one of the best composers of the post-studio era has past on. He scored over 160 films , for directors that included John Frankenheimer, Alfred Hitchcock, John Huston, Luchino Visconti, Peter Weir, William Wyler, and Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker, among many, many others. You’ll have a hard time finding a composer whose worked on so many great-to-intriguing films or had such a flair for the epic.
